Abe’s To Do List, 2018

Acrylic paint on cardboard

Book report for Foundations of Education course.

(After reading the book, “A People’s History of the United States” by Howard Zinn, I began to realize how different some of our American heroes are compared to what we learned in school. A section in the book talked about how Abraham Lincoln gets credit for abolishing slavery when really it wasn’t even near the top of his priority list, which instantly sparked me to wonder what else was on his priority list?)

Watch Out Russell, 2018

Acrylic paint on found cardboard

My poor dog Russell doesn’t know what to make of my son. On one hand, he does get a lot more human food at dinner time but on the other hand, sometimes my son walks right up to him and smacks him on the face. To be fair to my son, he is only 18-months-old. To be fair to Russell, he takes it incredibly well. Russell has a bit of a temper tantrum and often snaps. He has never snapped on my son. I wanted to show Russell how it may not seem like it at times lately, but I love and appreciate him.
